What I would wear to Coachella if I could afford a day ticket

H ello everyone, it's yours truly here , and welcome back to The Fashion Freshmann , where I pretend I know anything about decent and appropriate styling. This week I'll be highlighting what I would be wearing to the infamous Coachella , or as the world ultimately knows it now as Beychella  (let's face it, that was Coachella's peak, no one's topping what Beyoncé did on that stage), if I was an invited influencer or could just simply afford it. For those of you unfamiliar with Coachella, it's an annual music and arts festival taking place in the (wait for it) Coachella Valley in California, US. This year the festival's taking place on the 15th-17th and 22nd-24th April weekends, with the lineup including the likes of Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Doja Cat, and others. The outfit would be pretty much adapted to the local weather, prioritising, breathable fabrics, light-colours, and loose sleeves for optimal airflow and comfort. 1. Jil Sander White Po...

6 of my current favs

Hello everyone, it's yours truly here, and welcome back to The Fashion Freshmann, where financial responsibility is NOT à l'ordre du jour.

This week I wanted to highlight 6 of my current favs, that I'm seriously debating breaking the bank for.

1. This Thebe Magugu Sisterhood V-Neck Sweater + Knitted Shorts set

This is not a current fav, it has BEEN a fav!

South-African designer, Thebe Magugu is one of my favourite designers, the high-quality and expert level of craftsmanship displayed through his garments, when coupled with the incredible storytelling behind his designs, makes Thebe an impressive designer in my books.

I love this particular Sisterhood set, drawing inspo from collegiate sports-team staples, knitted in a midnight-blue wool blend with white banding on the neckline, cuff, and hem, and a framed-up image of the brand's iconic sisterhood emblem. Pair it with the loose culotte-style knitted shorts and you have a simple, yet elegant outfit.

Now I just have to wait till it's back in stock 😩

2. These Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Original Sole Toe Cap Hi Canvas Sneakers

I've never been a Converse person, trust me I tried and failed. But then I saw the design of Mihara Yasuhiro's Original Sole's and fell in love. The absurd melted-looking sole left me intrigued, i.e. made me add it to my shopping list.

The design of these shoes is fresh and original, idk I just love them!

3. This Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 Cipango

Confession time, I found this LV Keepall thanks to a video on Tiktok and I am been OBSESSED with it (I don't say this lightly), but unfortunately this bag is sold-out in most places :(

When I say "let's get this bag" this is exactly the bag that I am talking about.

The simple design, the colour, and the space make it the perfect travel bag, hence why it's a current fav.

4. These Soderberg Repeater Boots

Boots, love 'em or hate 'em, you can't deny their potential to completely elevate a look. I love me a good pair of boots, and I have been eyeing the Soderberg Repeater Boots for a while now.

With its stacked heel, pointy end, and overall classic design, the Repeater boots are a pair that I want in my wardrobe ASAP. Plus, the leather is flexible enough, allowing for trousers to be worn inside and outside the boots, making them quite versatile and sleek.

5. This Jil Sander long-sleeved Silk Cardigan

I saw this cardigan once and was like "yeah, that's the one", the pastel green, and its oversized fit threw me in for a roll. I already have a few outfits in mind that would be killer with this piece. Currently praying that I can find it at a reduced price sometime, until then, I'll just have to c r y.

6. Neroli Portofino Acqua Eau de Toilette

That's it, that's the tweet...

I recommend you walk into your nearest perfume store and smell this fragrance, thank me later.
